Wonderful weather has arrived and we are all waiting for the rains. And it’s usually the time many families opt for making Instant Sweet Cheela using flour and jaggery. In Hindi language, it’s known as “Aate aur Gur ka Meetha Cheela”.

So, today we will learn to make Instant Sweet Cheela using flour and jaggery. You can make it easily at home with very few ingredients.

It is indeed very tasty. You can make it anytime and enjoy it with chutney, lemon pickle or anything similar. It’s taste is very much liked by children and adults alike.

Sweet Cheela (Aate ka Meetha Cheela) [Recipe]

INGREDIENTS

For Sweet Cheela
  • Jaggery, 1 cup
  • Wheat flour, 2 cups
  • Semolina, 1/2 cup
  • Cardamom powder, 1 tsp
  • Fennel, 2 tsp
  • Yellow color, 2 pinch
  • Hot oil, 1 tablespoon
  • Water (as needed), 1 1/2 glass

INSTRUCTIONS:

For making Sweet Cheela
  1. Take a cup of jaggery and put it in water and dissolve it well. After that filter the jaggery water.

  3. Now sieve the wheat flour in jaggery water, and beat it well till the lumps disappear.

  5. Then after adding half a cup of semolina in it, once again beat the solution well.

  7. Add cardamom powder, fennel, and a little yellow color to the solution and mix.Keep the above solution for half an hour at rest.

  9. After half an hour, put a spoonful of hot oil in the solution and mix it well. The batter for making cheela is ready.

  11. Now put a non-stick pan on the stove and put a big spoon of batter in it and spread it with the help of a spoon.

  13. Care is to be taken while pouring the solution, that the flame is to be kept low, and after spreading the solution completely, the flame is to be turned medium.

  15. When the top surface of the Cheela starts drying, then we have to turn the cheela and roast the other side well.

  17. Grease the Cheela lightly with oil. Use the remaining batter to make other cheela in a similar way.

  19. Your Aate and Gur ka Cheela are ready. Serve them hot only. Make and eat them anytime your heart desires.
