INGREDIENTS

For Poha Chivda
  • Poha (Flattened Rice), 500 Grams
  • Peanuts, 200 Grams
  • Green Chillies (Finely Chopped), 2-3
  • Curry Leaves, 8-10
  • Dry Fruits Roasted In Ghee, 1/2 Cup
  • Dry Coconut Pieces, 1/2 Cup
  • Red Chili Powder, 1/2 Tsp
  • Turmeric Powder, 1/2 Tsp
  • Black Salt, 1/2 Tsp
  • Mint Powder, 1 Tsp
  • Fennel Powder, 1 Tsp
  • Coriander Leaves, 1 Tsp
  • Salt, 1/2 Tsp
  • Black Pepper Powder, 1/4 Tsp
  • Citric Acid Powder, 1/4 Tsp
  • Sugar Powder (As Per Taste), 4-5 Tsp

INSTRUCTIONS:

For making Poha Chivda
  1. Sieve the poha and clean it well. Put the pan on the stove and put oil in it. Allow oil to heat up well, then put the sieve in it and fry the poha little by little. Repeat the process for all the remaining poha.

  3. Add turmeric to the hot fried poha and mix well. Turmeric does not mix well if the poha cools down..

  5. Similar to poha, put the peanuts in a sieve and fry it. Finally mix it with the poha.

  7. Similarly, fry chopped green chillies and curry leaves and mix them in the chivda.

  9. Put ghee in the pan and roast all the dry fruit cashews, almonds, makhana, dry coconut pieces, and raisins for 2-3 minutes.

  11. Put all the above mentioned dry fruits and all spices in Poha Chivda. Mix them well using your hands.

  13. After the Chivda cools down, add sugar powder. Once again, mix everything well.

  15. There we have it. Your sweet and sour dry fruit Poha Chivda is ready to be served.
