INGREDIENTS

For Nan Khatai
  • Desi Ghee - 2 Tbsp
  • Sugar powder - 2 tbsp
  • Maida (All purpose flour) - 1 cup
  • Besan - 1 tbsp
  • Baking powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Baking soda - 1 pinch
  • Almond pistachio shredding - 1 tsp

INSTRUCTIONS:

For making Nan Khatai
  1. Take ghee in a bowl and mix sugar powder in it. We will mix it till it becomes foamy.

  3. After that, add maida, gram flour, baking powder and baking soda to the ghee-sugar mixture and mix it well.

  5. We will make a dough from this mixture, and after making small balls from that dough, make a ball and flatten it and keep it in a ghee-greased plate by pressing a little from the middle.

  7. Now put a pan on the stove, and put salt in it, and keep it covered for ten minutes to get pre-heated. Then put a baking tray with NanKhatai on a stand in that pan and cover it.

  9. Let the Nan khatai bake for 20 - 25 minutes. Meanwhile, please check whether it’s baked or not, by removing the lid once or twice.

  11. Our NanKhatai takes 30 minutes to bake. Our NanKhatai is ready, now we will turn off the gas and leave it to cool down.

  13. Now we will decorate it with Almonds and Pistachio shredding. If you want, you can also garnish with fruit jam. I have decorated it both ways. There you have it. Our delicious and crispy NanKhatai is ready to eat.
