Put both oil and ghee in a pan on the gas, let them heat up. Then add asafoetida, mustard seeds, cumin seeds and other garam masala spices to it and let the mixture crackle.
After that add onion ginger green chili paste and cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Then add tomato and cashew paste and cook while stirring it well.
After that add all the above dry spices and cook till they leave the oil. After the masala is cooked, add 1-1.5 tablespoons of milk cream and stir it well. If you want, you can also use cream.
Lastly, add Kasoori Methi, add some water and stir it well. Afterwards, add salt as per taste.
